浅谈英语教学的特点


英语教师想使自己平常的英语教学更加有效,首先就得抓住并了解小学英语教学的特点。而要了解特点,又得先明确小学开设英语课程的目的是什么?小学阶段开设英语课程的目的是要使小学生通过生动活泼的课堂教学激发学生学习英语的浓厚兴趣,培养他们学习英语的积极情感,形成初步的英语语感,使学生具备良好的语音、语调基础,具备用所学英语进行简单日常交流的初级能力,并养成良好的英语学习习惯,为进一步学习打好基础。因此,小学英语教学应具备以下特点:


一、教学内容贴近生活,能激发出小学生的学习兴趣


1、教学材料和教学活动应贴近于生活,能充分反映小学生的日常生活,所学的内容能应用到他们所熟悉的生活中去。如:book, pencil,rubber等学习用品是他们平常学习中最常用到的,而像apple,pear,orange等水果或My family,My mother,My father等又都是如实的反映他们的周围环境和社会生活的,学生在学过这些英语以后可以在自己的生活中使用出来,这在一定程度上刺激了他们的学习兴趣。如在上到一年级关于Fruit的单元时,教师可利用各种水果,进行实物教学,对于当时无法找到的水果,则可用图片代替。而在学习Cat、Dog时可使用绕口令“A cat,a cat,miao,miao,miao.A dog,a dog,wang,wang, wang.”这样就会使抽象的单词变得更加直观,使英语的学习过程更具趣味性。


人的语言来自于现实生活,脱离了生活,就学不会语言,因此要让学生觉得故事仿佛就发生在身边,在生活情景中学会学习。如我在教Farm Animals这一单元的Let’s talk课时时,课前先让学生回家仔细观察并模仿家中动物的叫声,然后在课堂上让他们充分施展自己表演才能,再让其他同学参与到这个Guessing game当中,猜出What animal is it?学生个个情绪高涨。
